Steve began his professional career in South Florida in 1970 and he has been on the scene there ever since. During the 70’s he recorded and/or toured with soul singer George McCrae, funk rockers Wild Cherry and Michael Quatro. During the 80’s he toured and recorded with K.C. & the Sunshine Band, soul singer Jimmy ‘Bo’ Horne and recorded with reggae star Dennis Brown and country stars The Bellamy Brothers. The 90’s found him playing Europe with British rocker Roy Young before becoming bassist for Clarence Clemmons’ Temple of Soul. He toured and recorded with Clarence Clemmons from 1999 until Clarence’s passing in 2011. In 2003, Steve began playing with “Serving Up the Rock / Diamond Angels”, performing with assorted celebrities such as Mickey Thomas from Jefferson Starship, Mark Farner from Grand Funk Railroad and Gerry Beckley from America. In 2008, Steve played with Vanilla Fudge, including the PBS show “The 60’s My Generation”.
